April 1 – 6
Swift Creek YMCA
Lifeguard Certification
Ages 15 and up can become a certified lifeguard in this 6-day class. 804-818-1110 ($)

Lewis and Clark Leadership Spring Break Camp
First Aid & CPR/AED Certification, team building, high ropes, and canoe training; as well as an overnight canoe trip on the James with camping on the river, outdoor cooking, and a “fat class II rapid” to end the trip. Learn fire building skills and Leave No Trace principles. 804-840-2588 ($)

Maymont
Spring Break

All Ball Week

Henricus Historical Park
Civil War Camp
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Ages 8-12 learn about the life of a common soldier with musket and artillery demos, field trip, and a boat tour. Register: 804-318-8797. ($)

SCOR
All Sports/Soccer Skills Camp
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Ages 5-12 can try the all-sports camp, while soccer players age 8-16 can hone their skills at the soccer skills camp. 804-257-7267 ($)

The Little Gym of Glen Allen
Spring Break Camps
9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Kids ages 3-10 will explore the gym, play active games and make a crazy craft at this camp. Come for one day or all five. Register: 804-266-7700. ($)

School’s Out Trips
Ages 5 – 12 can sign up for one or more activities through Colonial Heights Parks and Recreation, transportation is provided. Call 804-520-9390.

Twin Hickory Library
Teen Money Camp

Multiplication Madness Camp
Kids will focus on learning their 0-12 multiplication facts in a positive, effective and fun way, multiple area locations. Register: 804-302-4366 ($)

Eastern Henrico Rec. Center
Basketball Clinic
9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
This clinic will be a great place for young basketball players to improve their skills, work hard, make new friends, and have fun. Participants will develop skills in shooting, passing, dribbling, rebounding, and defense. Self-confidence will grow along with the skills and overall appreciation of the game. Fishing/Mountain Biking

Offering both fishing and fish/bike combo camps over spring break. Sign up for the whole week or just one day. Dates: April 1-pond fishing, April 2- fish and bike, April 3- pond fishing, April 4- fish and bike. ($)

Spring Break Chill Time

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
Fun with Fairies
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Ages 6 – 7 enjoy an entire enchanted day in the Children’s Garden. Discover secret trails in the forest and gather ferns, nuts, and shells to decorate a fairy house. Share games, songs and a story then carry a bit of the day’s magic home in a tiny terrarium. 804-262-9887 ($)

Colonial Heights Teen Center
Teen Spring Break
Colonial Heights teens can register for one or more activities (including a lock-in) through the Recreation and Parks Department. Call 804-520-9390 for details.

All Fired Up
Kids Fun Shops
Have an Art-tastic spring break. Drop off the kids from 10:30am-Noon at the Carytown or Midlothian studios for an art adventure in wet clay, pottery painting, or glass fusing! Stained Glass

Tuckahoe Sports
Skill Builder Camp
Whether you are an all-star or novice player, TSI’s experienced instructors will take your skills to the next level. Each camper will be put through numerous fielding, throwing, pitching, hitting, and base running drills, as well as, fast-twitch and reaction-based quickness speed & agility training. All skills will be showcased in daily competitions and games. Campers will be grouped by age and ability. 804-360-3395 ($)

West Broad Village Take a Break
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Kids will start at Sweet Spot to play games and get a bag of candy, then go to All Fired Up for a ceramic craft, and finish at Spirited Art with a pizza lunch and a painting. 804-360-7768 ($)

April 4
Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
Fun with Fairies
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Ages 8- 12 carry critter nets and bug jars into the forest and marsh seeking tapoles, bug-eating plants, animal footprints, and underwater insects. Harvest and prepare a delicious snack from the Farm Garden then plant a pocket-garden to take home to watch a salad grow. 804-262-9887 ($)
