Over 40 Summer Camps at March 24 Summer Adventure Expo

PeakExperience_Rock WallRichmond Family Magazine (RFM) and Peak Experiences Indoor Climbing Center are once again partnering to bring families the Summer Adventure Expo, sponsored by Virginia 529. The rain or shine event will be held on Sunday, March 24, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., indoors and outdoors at Peak Experiences in Midlothian, behind The Shoppes at Bellgrade.

“Keeping kids’ brains and bodies active during the summer months can be real challenges for parents and caregivers,” says RFM Publisher Margaret Thompson. “With so many options available, it’s hard to know where to begin the search for summer activities. We have pulled together a wide array of day and overnight camps in a really cool environment”, adding that kids can climb the rock walls at Peak for free, enjoy live performances, and play interactive games. “It is such a fun day for kids of all ages, and parents can learn about summer opportunities in sports, outdoor adventure, enrichment, music, and more from area camps and businesses,” Thompson says.

In addition to exhibits from a diverse group of summer camps, visitors will be treated to a performance by Mickey Moore Magician, with his sidekick, Jack the Bunny, as well as a 1:00 p.m. concert by The Diggity Dudes, who have been busy promoting their new CD, Presidential Physical Fitness Test, up and down the East Coast. More than 40 exhibitors will be on-site, each with a fun activity for the kids.

The event is free and will be held rain or shine. Lunch will be available for purchase from popular local food truck, The Boka Truck, with treats from Kona Ice also available for purchase.

Peak Experiences Indoor Climbing Center is located near Robious Road and Huguenot Road, behind The Shoppes at Bellgrade, at 11421 Polo Circle in Midlothian. For more information, please call 804-241-7678 or visit www.rfmonline.com.
