Millwood School Students Win Regional Solar Car Competition

Solar Car Sprint_MillwoodSchool

After the success of Millwood School’s in-house solar car competition, the top six teams advanced to compete at the Solar Car Sprint, held at Science Museum of Virginia.

While the weather conditions weren’t optimal for a solar car race, the teams of seventh graders representing Millwood School performed admirably. According to Millwood School science teacher, Mr. Michael Garbini, the students demonstrated excellent sportsmanship.

Congratulations to Millwood School teams for these accomplishments: first place designations in speed and design; second place designation in design; third place finish in speed; fifth place finish in design.
