VHS Extends Hours for Used Book Sale

Earlier this year, the Virginia Historical Society asked for donations of gently used books. As is always the case with VHS supporters and history lovers all over greater Richmond, the call was answered and the response was overwhelming. The VHS Summer Book Sale is Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Special late hours have been added the night before on Friday, June 14, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Food trucks will be serving meals on the back lawn that evening so you can enjoy dinner after you shop.

The VHS has hundreds of hard and soft cover, fiction and nonfiction books. All are in good condition and most have a historical connection.

All of the books will be sold at deeply discounted prices, some as low as fifty cents. Money raised from the sale will support VHS educational initiatives.

The Summer Book Sale is for the evening of June 14 and during the day on June 15 . Don’t miss this chance to restock your library while supporting the VHS.
