Hooray for Outdoor Ice Skating at the Children’s Museum Downtown

Yes, Virginia, there will be an outdoor ice skating rink in Richmond this holiday season!

Since 2005, Legendary Santa has called the Children’s Museum home. Now, in 2019, the Children’s Museum is excited to announce that it will add ice skating to this beloved tradition. The opening of the rink, which will be located outside the main entrance of the Downtown location, will coincide with the arrival of Legendary Santa on November 29. Weather permitting; skating will be offered throughout the winter months.

The cost to skate will be $10 for the general public and $7 for Children’s Museum members. Skates and skate aid rentals will be available, and the rink will offer weekday, weekend, evening hours. Museum admission is no required to skate.

For hours of operation and further details, please visit the Children’s Museum.
