Throughout Black History Month, VPM is sharing stories of Black heroes in history, both in Virginia and across the nation. Who is your hero? Pick from one of these unsung heroes or research your own.
Early learners – kids in pre-K through second grade – design a poster with information about the hero, take a picture, and submit it to VPM.
Submissions will be entered for a chance to win a PBS Playtime Pad and could be featured on vpm.org, social media @myVPM, or on VPM PBS. If you have any questions, please contact Karen Wells at kwells@vpm.org.
Submit your poster before March 7, 2021, 11:59 PM EST. Parents may submit more than one poster made by their child. However, only one entry will be eligible for the drawing for a chance to win the PBS KIDS Playtime Pad.
