Summertime Tradition Continues this July! Anthem LemonAid presented by Richmond Ford

It wouldn’t be summer in Richmond without Anthem LemonAid presented by Richmond Ford – a community-wide effort focused on safely gathering family, friends, and colleagues around neighborhood lemonade stands to enjoy cold glasses of lemonade for the benefit of the ASK Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Clinic at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. In the last twenty-one years, more than $1.6 million has been raised for CHoR.

Have fun running your LemonAid stand with the whole family, or your kids can take the reigns and get community service hours while helping raise money to combat cancer.

We encourage the Greater Richmond community and communities beyond to safely rally behind our families served in the Hematology and Oncology Clinic at CHoR by choosing your favorite way to participate in this year’s event: pick up your free lemonade stand supplies (including the summer issue of RFM!) and safely host a traditional Anthem LemonAid stand in person, stay virtual and participate in a series of lemon-inspired interactive challenges, or do both.

Stop by the RFM LemonAid stand Saturday, July 10, 9 a.m. to noon.
West End Farmer’s Market, Discovery Church parking lot (Gayton and Lauderdale)

For participants who choose to host a physical stand, our Anthem LemonAid kits will come with all the standard supplies like lemonade mix and cups as well as special items to promote safe interactions, including hand sanitizer and masks. Educational materials outlining CDC guidelines for maintaining proper social distancing and practicing appropriate mask coverage will also be shared.

Registration is online, and as always, free to participate. It’s easy to help us put the squeeze on childhood cancer:

Anthem LemonAid is made possible by generous community members and sponsors: Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Richmond Ford, CBS 6, and Richmond Family Magazine.
