Free Paddle Trips on the James for Hospital Workers

As a small gesture of thanks for the incredible service of Virginia healthcare workers, the James River Association (JRA) and partners are providing free paddle trips to hospital workers.

A break on the water may offer solace, relaxation, and healing during what continues to be an incredibly stressful time.

JRA’s Connect with the James guided paddle trips include canoeing and pontoon boat options. JRA guides take participants through beautiful stretches of the James in greater Richmond, while sharing stories about wildlife, history, and the natural resources of the area.

  • Various dates and times are available in August and September – the hospital worker can choose what works best!
  • Completely free for hospital workers when you sign up at jamesriverrelief.org. If you’re not a hospital worker, or if you want to bring a friend or family member, you can also sign up for a paid trip at connectwiththejames.org.
  • Trips include canoe and pontoon boat options along the James River in the greater Richmond area.

The hospital workers who have gone above and beyond to keep our communities safer during COVID-19 deserve this special offer. JRA would like to thank the wonderful donors and partners that help make this program possible.
