Electronics Recycling Events

Citizens can recycle unwanted electronic items at several events this fall. The events will be held:

Saturday, September 7
9:30 am -1 pm
*Chesterfield Southern Convenience Center, 6700 Landfill Drive, Chesterfield

Saturday, September 14
9 am – 2 pm
*1710 Robin Hood Rd at N. Blvd (field across from Arthur Ashe Center), Richmond
(* City residents only. Includes document shredding (5 boxes per car) & collection of pesticides/herbicides.

Saturday, October 5
9:30 am -1 pm
*Chesterfield Southern Convenience Center, 6700 Landfill Drive, Chesterfield
(* Chesterfield residents only. Contact county directly at 804-748-1297 about fees.)

Saturday, October 19
10 am – 1 pm
*WEAG (West End Assembly of God), 401 N. Parham Road, Henrico
*Includes document shredding (Limit 2 boxes (10” x 13” x 18”) or 3 paper grocery bags)

Saturday, October 26
10 am – 1 pm
Twin Hickory Library, 5001 Twin Hickory Road, Glen Allen, Henrico

Saturday, November 2
9:30 am -1 pm

Saturday, November 16
10 am – 2 pm
Mechanicsville Solid Waste Convenience Center (7427 Verdi Lane)
(Check with Hanover County for fees, if applicable). (*Hanover residents only.)

Saturday, December 7
9:30 am -1 pm

Recycle anything with a plug! Items accepted at the events include televisions, computers, computer monitors, computer accessories (cables, wires, keyboards, mice, speakers, etc.), printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, telephones and cell phones, VCRs and camcorders, stereos, microwaves and more. A $7 fee is charged to recycle televisions but other devices will be collected at no charge. Payment is accepted in cash or by check.

In addition to these special weekend collections this fall, items may also be brought to several area permanent drop-off locations throughout the year.
