Campers will join certified staff on a week-long adventure on the James. Your kids will explore the James River Park system, learn valuable river safety skills, and navigate the rapids of the Falls of the James. Campers will be aided by staff in expert paddle instruction, knowledge on river ecology, and first aid and river safety skills. Over the course of the week, your kids will participate in activities such as hiking, swimming, climbing, canoeing, paddleboarding, kayaking, tubing, and rafting.
Campers who are at least rising 5th graders will have opportunities to practice and develop real-life skills and receive certifications in CPR/First Aid and Swiftwater Rescue from our certified instructors. Boats, personal flotation devices, paddles, and helmets are provided by RVA Paddlesports.
Camp will be hosted Monday – Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
