Easy, Chunky Guacamole

Make-It-Yourself Healthy Snack

Don’t fear the fruit! Avocados provide nearly twenty essential vitamins and nutrients, including potassium and fiber. Plus, anyone who’s ever been to Moe’s knows: Guacamole is just plain fun to say!

What you need:

• 2 large avocados, halved
• ¼ cup tomatoes, diced
• 1 tsp lime juice
• ½ tsp salt
• ¼ tsp garlic
• 2 green onions, diced

What you do:

1. Cut a ripe avocado lengthwise around the seed.(Kids under 12, have an adult do the cutting.)Twist halves to separate.

2. Remove the seed by sliding the tip of a spoon gently underneath and lifting out.

3. Spoon avocado flesh into medium mixing bowl and smash with a fork.

4. Add diced tomatoes, green onions, garlic, salt, and lime juice to avocado, and mix thoroughly.
