Picture Perfect

A Mom's Day Gift to Treasure

No mother can resist pictures of the gang. And the best part? The stories you’ll tell her of how everyone worked and played together so nicely in honor of her special day.

What you need:

  • Cardboard or cardstock
  • Construction paper
  • Buttons, sequins, glitter, scrap paper, and stickers.
  • Scissors
  • Glue, tape or poster putty
  • Ribbon or yarn
  • Family pictures

What you do:

1. Parents or older sibs can precut the cardboard rectangles in a variety of sizes.

2. Lay picture on cardboard in desired place and glue or tape.

3. Cut out frame from construction paper and be sure that the photograph can be seen within the hole cut in the construction paper. (Tip: Fold your frame paper in half, then cut the picture area out and unfold and it will be even all around).

4. Start decorating. (Tip: Poster putty is a great substitute for glue for this one.)

5. Kids might want to write a message on the frame or cut out words and from old greeting cards and magazines.

6. Cut a strip of stiff cardboard about 2” wide and tape or glue it to the back to create a free-standing frame.

7. For a wall-hanging, punch holes at either end of the frames or thread ribbon through a series of frames. Create a loop at the top and hang from floor lamps, doorknobs, wall hooks, etc.
