We are Richmond’s only accredited Montessori school serving 300 children from 18 months to 8th grade.
Richmond Montessori School isn’t like other schools. For 50 years our unique approach to education has not only helped students learn, but has given them the tools by which to discover their authentic selves – who they are, what their interests are and who they are meant to be.
We offer three private education programs for Richmond area families: Early Childhood, Elementary and Middle School (ages 18 months to 8th grade).
Additionally, we offer Enrichment (after school) and Specialty programs. Our programs incorporate the Montessori child-centered educational approach which emphasizes the human spirit and the development of the whole child—physical, social, emotional, cognitive.
Richmond Montessori School is fully accredited by two external organizations – the American Montessori Society and Virginia Association of Independent Schools.
- For toddlers ages 18 months to 3 years we offer a 5 days a week, half day program.
- For children 3 to 6 years of age, we offer Primary Half-Day (pre-k) for ages 3-4, and Primary Full-Day (kindergarten) for ages 5-6.
