The Faison Center is a nonprofit educational and treatment center that serves students in the school program from ages 18 months to 22 years with on-site and off-site programs utilizing the evidence-based principles of applied behavior analysis. Dedicated to providing resources for children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities, the school offers a variety of consultative services, including home-program support, school consultation, after-care and summer programs, Life Skills Program, Employment Academy and community workshops. The Faison Center represents a unique private/public partnership collaboration between a nonprofit school and major university research partners: The Kennedy Krieger Institute at Johns Hopkins University, The Teachers College at Columbia University and the University of Virginia.
