Stir Up a Cure for Childhood Cancer!
Anthem LemonAid Weekend is July 17 through 19
Last summer, hundreds of Anthem LemonAid stands dotted Central Virginia and raised over $100,000 in support of cancer treatment and research at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU (CHoR). This July 17 through 19, community members are invited, once again, to host an Anthem LemonAid stand in support of the brave children who are battling this terrible disease. Thanks to the generous community in Central Virginia, over the past thirteen summers, Anthem LemonAid has raised more than a million dollars. As always, all funds raised support the Hematology and Oncology Clinic at our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU (CHoR).
Sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Anthem LemonAid is Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ signature summer event. It’s free to participate and is the perfect fundraising opportunity for children, families, community groups, and businesses alike. Participants set up and staff a lemonade stand at a provided location or a location of their choice. Complimentary supplies, including lemonade mix, cups, a pitcher, promotional sunglasses, stickers and signage, are provided to all registered participants the week before the event.
Along with Anthem, other event sponsors include the Credit Union Cares Foundation of Virginia, BB&T Securities, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Kroger, and Panera Bread.
