The Modlin Center for the Arts is pleased to present Dan Zanes & Elizabeth Mitchell as part of the Modlin Arts Family Arts Day Celebration on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 3 p.m. in Camp Concert Hall, Booker Hall of Music.
Acclaimed by TIME as leading “Stars of Kindie Rock”, Dan Zanes and Elizabeth Mitchell are at the forefront of the current wave of independent children’s music. Zanes’ irresistible grooves create a rollicking “Woodstock for Kids,” including exuberant American traditional songs, dance classics, and smart, inventive originals. The audience is invited to “sing along with gusto” before things heat up and ultimately dissolve into an all-ages dance party. Elizabeth Mitchell’s lovely voice brings a fresh sound to cherished American folk songs and other melodies from around the world. In a peaceful yet powerful way, she reintroduces us to the songs we thought we knew so well. A Dan Zanes and Elizabeth Mitchell show is an opportunity for fans of both artists to join in a celebration of American family and roots music.
Join the Modlin Center for the Arts and the University of Richmond Museums for the annual Family Arts Day Celebration, an art-centered family fun day featuring activity tables, art projects, food, and more.
