Greater Richmond ARC and Camp Baker Afterschool Programs

Afterschool activities for children with developmental disabilities slated at the Greater Richmond ARC–Camp Baker in Chesterfield will also host afterschool students

Recycling cans and paper goods. Making appetizers and main dishes using healthy ingredients for which you have shopped. Creating one-of-a-kind crafts using clay, paint and paper. Traveling to movie theaters, parks, and other points of local interest.

These are just a few of the activities on tap at one or both of the Greater Richmond ARC‘s after school childcare locations beginning September 3, 2013, weekdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at ARCenter , 3600 Saunders Avenue in Richmond, and Camp Baker, 7600 Beach Road in Chesterfield.

Cost per week for school age youth ages 5-21 is $186.35. ARC is open during week-long school holidays such as winter and spring break from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for $372.70. Each participant receives a plan of care from an internal agency advocate, and among the year’s highlights is an organization-wide art show the week of September 9 in which artwork from ARC participants will be displayed.
