All Henrico Reads April 2

New York Times Bestselling Author Lee Smith at 2014 ALL HENRICO READS

The Henrico County Public Library, in partnership with Henrico County Public Schools and the Friends of Henrico County Public Library will host nationally acclaimed author Lee Smith, on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Glen Allen High School, 10700 Staples Mill Road, Glen Allen, 23060. Books will be available for sale, and the author will autograph books following the program.

Ms. Smith is a native Virginian and beloved writer who has had several New York Times bestselling books including Fair and Tender Ladies and The Last Girls. Her latest and the All Henrico Reads featured title, Guests on Earth, is an engaging, historical novel set in Asheville, NC during the 1930’s and features a cast of well-developed characters, including Zelda Fitzgerald, whose lives intersect at Highland Hospital, a mental institution. Ms. Smith shines a light on a complex subject that has strong relevance for today.

This event is free and open to the public. Seating will be first come, first served. Beverages will be available for purchase from the Caffespresso Cart and attendees can enter to win gift certificates to local businesses courtesy of the Friends of the Henrico County Public Library.
