AUTHOR LAURA VANDERKAM TO SPEAK SEPT. 18 ON HAPPINESS AND SPENDING

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA —Nationally-known author and lifestyle guru Laura Vanderkam is coming to the Meadowdale branch of Chesterfield County Public Library, Tuesday, Sept. 18, 6:30-8 p.m. She has been featured on the “Today Show,” Fox News and NPR’s “Talk of the Nation.” Vanderkam’s new book, “All the Money in the World: What the Happiest People Know About Getting and Spending,” says that money can buy happiness, if it’s spent wisely. For all the obsessing people do about money, why do they seem so unhappy about it? Vanderkam offers the chance to completely rethink personal finances, encouraging people to make conscious decisions about what they value and how they spend money. Dinner will be available for purchase from Dressed and Pressed and other Grow RVA food trucks.

This free presentation is open to the public and is part of the FUN@CCPL financial literacy program, which is made possible by a grant from the FINRA Investor Education Foundation, through Smart investing@your library, a partnership with the American Library Association. Meadowdale Library is located at 4301 Meadowdale Blvd. For more information about the program, visit library.chesterfield.gov, or ask at any library branch.
