Richmond’s MEDARVA Healthcare has announced the winners of its second annual Patient Choice Award, an award that allows patients in the community to recognize physicians area patients felt provided them with the best overall care and compassion.
MEDARVA has always prided itself on its dedication to high-quality, affordable value-based health care services, focusing on physician performance and value to its patients rather than championing its name. With a patient-focused mindset, MEDARVA Healthcare began its Patient Choice Awards last year, championing physicians around the area that share those same ideals.
“Patient choice plays a huge factor in physician performance, which is something we value above all,” said Bruce P. Kupper, MEDARVA Healthcare’s president and CEO. “The Patient Choice Award is designed to recognize exceptional, patient-centered care. Our patients are at the core of everything we do at MEDARVA, so we wanted to give them a voice to recognize those physicians who provide the highest quality and most compassionate care.”
Earlier this year, MEDARVA distributed cards to patients for them to write in the names of their favorite physicians, who were then selected as Patient Choice Award recipients. In total, 101 physicians received the award, representing a continued commitment to providing Richmond-area patients with compassionate care.
