New Story Drama Class for Preschoolers

Virginia Rep Offers New Eight-Week Story Drama Class for Preschoolers at The Children’s Theatre of Virginia

Richmond, VA—Virginia Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce that it will offer an eight-week exploratory drama class for preschoolers, beginning Monday, February 3 at the Children’s Theatre of Virginia at Willow Lawn.

Story Drama gives little ones the opportunity to experience books in a whole new way! Through age appropriate, process-based creative drama, each one-hour class explores a new work of children’s literature. Classic stories come alive as professional artist-educators lead preschoolers on multisensory journeys through the pages of their favorite books. The eight-week course is designed for children ages 3 ½ – 5 years old as an ideal introduction to the magical world of theatre. Complimentary coffee will be available for parents to enjoy each week as they wait in the lobby.

Story Drama will meet on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., February 3- March 24, 2014.

Families are invited to experience a demo of Story Drama this Saturday, January 18 at 11 AM and 2 PM at The Children’s Museum of Richmond’s Snow Days Festival at CMoR Central: 2626 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23220.

Virginia Rep will also offer a FREE sample Story Drama class on Monday, January 27 from 10 AM-11 AM at the Children’s Theatre of Virginia at Willow Lawn: 1601 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23230
