RVA French Food Festival

The Fifth Annual RVA French Food Festival on April 20th is pulling out all the stops to make this year’s event the biggest and best yet. In addition to the can’t-miss entrees of world-renowned Chef Paul Elbling and the fun Cajun flair of Chef Sean Murphy of the newly opened Savory Grain, two new chefs have joined the ranks to deliver even more French food options to all of Richmond. Chef John Maher of Spoon will be serving up contemporary French farm-to-table dishes while Chef Joseph Andreoli of Dressed and Pressed will deliver a twist to the classic French Bistro meals along with his famous Truffle Tater Tots. Chef Sean Murphy will be adding even more of a party to his Cajun Corner with an all-new Low Country Boil. And, for all those who just can’t get enough Mardi Gras in their life, don’t miss the Mardi Gras parade complete with traditional favors being thrown.
Sponsored once again by Bon Secours Virginia Health System and benefitting Little Sisters of the Poor in Richmond, the RVA French Food Festival is Richmond’s community-wide event featuring all things FRENCH. Where else can you savor delicious French foods from the different regions in France while sipping French wine and beer, take in live jazz music, shop a Parisian marketplace full of vendors, and enjoy games and entertainment for the kids, all amidst one of the most beautiful properties in Richmond? Come out for lunch, come for dinner, or just come for dessert! Can’t decide which French wine to choose? This is no problem with wine tastings in the new wine garden and also new this year, “Chef Paul’s Picks,” hand selected wines coming highly recommended by Chef Paul himself. The festival will go from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and don’t forget: it is benefitting a great cause right here in the River City. So bring your friends, bring your family, and get ready to step into a slice of France, right here in your own hometown!

The French Food Festival will be held at 1503 Michaels Road from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free, but a suggested $2 donation to help defray event costs would be most gratefully appreciated. Free parking is conveniently located in the Forest Office Park lots next door.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the elderly poor who are lovingly cared for by the Little Sisters of the Poor. For additional information, please visit www.rvafrenchfoodfestival.com or call 288-6245.
