Be a Social Butterfly for CJSTUF

Host an Event to Promote the Important Mission of CJ’s Thumbs Up Foundation (CJSTUF)

ButterfliesLive_Lewis Ginter_butterflyThe courage and energy of Charlotte Jennie, or CJ as she was known during her too short life, inspired her parents Roger and Rachel Reynolds to establish CJSTUF, a nonprofit to support families of children facing life-threatening illnesses. To that end, CJSTUF awards families $500 financial assistance grants to be used however the family decides. Knowing how difficult it is to get a decent meal during a long hospital stay or while traveling, the nonprofit also established the Meal Fairies Program to provide healthy meals for families staying on the pediatric floor of VCU Medical Center and at Ronald McDonald House of Richmond on Monument Avenue.  CJSTUF provides assistance to families of children with any chronic and life-threatening illness, not just cancer, including cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anemia, and many more.

Throughout the summer, friends of CJ’s Thumbs Up Foundation can host Butterfly Socials to help increase awareness about the important work CJSTUF is doing in Richmond and beyond.  Whether it’s a pizza party, a get-together over cocktails, or something totally original, CJSTUF would love for you to invite your friends and family to party with you and learn about a fabulous organization.

You can read more about CJSTUF on page 26 of this month’s Richmond Family Magazine.
