STEAM Discovery Academy is excited to announce the opening of a new summer campus in Richmond, VA in June 2022! Programs are designed to cultivate a passion for all aspects of STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through engaging workshops. Grade specific programs inspire students of all experience levels in kindergarten through eighth grade.
“At STEAM, we pride ourselves on combining fun, interactive workshops, led by experienced educators, with academic learning designed to spark curiosity. We are thrilled to offer summer 2022 programs at Richmond Christian School, led by our local Program Director, Cris Higginbotham” said STEAM Discovery Academy’s Executive Director, Lisel Bruscia.
STEAM programs challenge students to think on their feet, evaluate challenges, and experiment their way to solutions in a fun, safe environment that combines entertainment and education. Along the way, they are encouraged to build communication, resilience, and confidence.
Summer programs are week-long, full day experiences, centered around a specific theme. Options range from Gadgets & Gizmos to Paint & Mixed Media to Robotics and Coding. Students take part in four targeted workshops a day, working individually and collaboratively to solve challenges and explore new concepts.
In 2022, Richmond STEAM camps will take place at Richmond Christian School, in Chesterfield. We are thrilled to partner with RCS, providing access to their modern facilities and extensive outdoor areas.
Don’t miss your chance to join STEAM this summer! Enrollment opens February 28th. Learn more and view our schedule of programs at www.steamda.com/richmond
