This performance for string quartet, chorus, and narrator, At War With Ourselves – 400 Years of You, features a libretto by National Book Award-winning poet Nikky Finney.
Global Sounds Family Friendly Concert
Modlin Center for the Arts at the University of Richmond 453 Westhampton Way, Richmond, VACommunity and student ensembles perform Japanese taiko drumming, Indonesian gamelan orchestra, West African drumming, and Brazilian Bossa Nova. Featuring performers from River City Taiko, Gamelan Raga Kusuma, Ezibu Muntu and Quattro No Bossa. Audience will be invited on stage after the show to try the instruments themselves.
